Olympus DR-1000 Dictation Kit

The Olympus DR-1000 Dictation Kit is designed to provide handheld dictation recording and playback, to and from a Mac or Windows computer. The kit includes the Directec handheld USB input device, which is also equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker. Also included is Olympus' DSS Player Software for direct digital recording and playback. The handheld Directec features an integrated USB cable, an assortment of transport and recording controls, a microphone and speaker.

Operation is fairly straightforward, simply speak into the microphone and use the controls to initiate recording to software, or playback and listen on its built-in speaker. DSS Player software features Insert and Overwrite recording modes, as well as single button indexing. Standard (SP) and long term (LP) recording modes enhance audio quality or allow for longer recordings while maximizing hard-drive space.
