This Hinged Lid Box from Archival Methods can be used to archive and safely store 4 x 5" prints, negatives, and postcards. It is also ideal for storing collectibles, small pieces of art, or specimens found in nature. The lid has undercut front panels for easy access and room to move materials around. The heavyweight, archival-grade boxboard is 1mm thick and made from fully bleached, high alpha cellulose pulp, with a minimum of 3% of calcium carbonate, and an 8 to 9.5 pH value. Suitable for long-term storage it passed the Photographic Activity Test and is made with paper that is free of lignin, acid, recycled pulp, metal, waxes, plasticizers, bleach, and peroxide, and virtually free of sulfur.
The exterior has a smooth surface that is free from knots, shives, or abrasive particles that would otherwise damage contents. The colored dye is light-fast and non-bleeding, and the anticorrosive metal-edge clamps have been treated with a black polyester coating and a wax-free polyester finish for strength and rigidity if you choose to stack multiple boxes.
