Smith-Victor SL260 reviews

SL260 3-Light 1450 Watt Softlight Studio Portrait Kit (120V AC) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lights, a little warm though These lights are great, have been using them for client projects. The temperature they put out is a little warm for me, but they do well. Also, the actual temperature (to the touch) gets pretty hot after a while (which is to be expected with these kinds of lights). The case is pretty good - not rigid, but it's padded and sturdy. The wheels work well also. I am able to fit another Smith Victor soft light, extra light stand, complete backdrop kit (without muslin), extra bulbs, extension cables, and other miscellaneous items into the case. With all that stuff in it, it get quite heavy (80 lbs?). Works well. The softlight is somewhat confusing to set up, as there is vague instructions on how to put it together. I ripped it a little trying to put the support wires in initially. Be careful with this. All in all, highly recommended. The bulbs last for quite a while - haven't had one burn out yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great at its price! This product fits nicely in its padded bag. A lot of kits when you take them out they are a pain to get back in. This one for being a soft case is surprised well fitted for the equipment. The soft box is significantly easier to put together and made of durable material. It does get hot a little bit quicker than some more expensive lights, but not enough to make a difference. I use these for interviews and to light products. It is a good kit and great for the price.
