4GB Extreme IV CompactFlash Card is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 195.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sandisk comes through again I've only been using these a short time but have been using the pro level Sandisk CF cards for years. I shoot for my living and have to have reliable cards. all my previous Extreme IV 4GB cards are still going strong though they are the previous version of this model. I've tested these by filling them with raw, jpeg, and movie captures on a 5D Mark II. Then when the card is full I delete several and shoot more. You never want to do this on a live job since that is usually asking for trouble but I do this for testing. These cards write to the camera very fast (one of the top rated on Galbraith's site) and they transfer/read at 40MB/sec real world speed on a Sandisk FW800 reader. I also just got some Lexar udma cards from B&H and they passed the same test. Time will tell for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Pro I'm a professional wedding photographer and shoot large amounts of photos on weddings (sometimes 14 hours days) I easily fill five or six of these cards on a day. All to capture just the right moments and emotions. That's the deal, right? These cards give me the right tool for that not having to worry about them. They are fast and reliable as heck. I have never had one go down on me and I put them through a lot of use (filling/downloading/formatting...daily!) That being said, Sandisk Extreme III or IV cards are the only cards I will ever buy. That's just it! Point blank! They are the best complete with rescue software, and the current deal at BH is unbeatable (talking about the mail-in). GO FOR IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sandisk Extreme IV Compact Flash Cards These are great cards, and are now a 'great buy' with the Sandisk Rebates. My cards are 35MB/sec, but I've heard that Sandisk just released an upgraded version sporting a 40MB/sec. specification. You also might be able to find a few of the Sandisk Ducati Special Edition Cards, which are also 40MB/sec. and sell for approx. the same $$ and are also eligible for the Sandisk Rebate. I've owned and used Sandisk CF cards for several years, and have never had any problems whatsoever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast writing speed essential When you are shooting a 21 megapixel camera in RAW + jpg and you have a subject giving you endless and priceless expressions, it is a big dollar loss when you have to stop and wait for your card to catch up in writing the data. The Extreme IV is the fasted write speed available, and can also withstand the rigors of environmental photography, with temperature and moisture changes. Nothing else comes close. No substitute will do. Worth the cost, because it makes MONEY for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing CF Card This card is super fast with my D300. The card has no issues clearing the buffer in high speed shooting mode and also downloads all the photos to my computer using the Sandisk Extreme USB2.0 card reader faster than I could expect. (Generally 2-3 minutes for an entire card.) I like the 4 GB size because it will take over 1000 photos at the standard JPEG settings on the D300 but I can still backup an entire disk onto a single layer DVD for cheap archival.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good and fast Got a couple of the 4GM Extreme IVs for use with a Nikon D300. The camera takes full advantage of the UDMA speed of the CF cards. The cards were able to keep up with the camera when shooting full size, fine JPEG (at about 6 fps) - even after filling up the 12 frame buffer in the camera. Shooting RAW will drop that speed to 2-3 fps after filling the buffer. Under normal use, most people will never need to wait for the card before taking another picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speed, Great Images I was a little confused because I ordered two of the same extreme 4 cards and I received two different cards. Both were extreme IV, but one was 45mbps and one was 40mbps. It's not a big deal since both are great cards and very fast, but I was a little confused. In JPEG fine on a Nikon D300 I get 552 shots. In JPEG normal I get over 1,000. This card is captures the images extremely quickly and produces them in GREAT quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again We have been digital for 5 years. We use mostly Nikon equipment ranging from D70's, up to DX2S. We have purchased numberous San Disk compact flash cards ranging from Ultra II 512mb up to Extreme IV 4gb size. We still use the Ultra II cards, some of which are 5 years old frequently. None have ever failed. I have always waited for rebate offers before purchasing, which have been happening frequently.
