The Bosch VP-CFGSFT Configuration Tool for Imaging Devices (CTFID) is a package containing the tools necessary to access Bilinx signals transmitted over a BNC (coaxial) video cable. The kit includes a software program and a USB T-Connector for tapping into the video cable. This kit will allow service personnel armed with only a laptop computer to check status, change settings, control pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) and even update firmware from virtually anywhere along the video coaxial cable without having to physically access the cameras.
Compatible Bilinx devices include Bosch's full line of AutoDome and Dinion, standard and Day/Night cameras, as well as most Allegiant switches and DiBos/Divar digital video recorders. Bilinx technology is not limited to coax type cable, but can also be applied to UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables, allowing a user to access Bilinx code anywhere between a camera and the main station along the UTP line, provided that passive UTP transceivers are in place.
When installing multiple cameras, instead of entering data individually for each camera, an installer can use a single computer to enter OSD text description, dome address setting, or camera menu navigation for all cameras at once.
