Bosch DB06C1012DL2 Overview

The Bosch Micro DiBos DB06C1012DL2 is a 6-channel digital video recorder suitable for a wide range of commercial surveillance applications, including financial centers, industrial facilities and transportation hubs. The DVR accepts up to 6 analog security cameras and supports a high recording rate of 15 IPS per channel. While this unit does not support the use of IP cameras and digital devices like most of DiBos units, it does allow an operator to access the DVR from a remote Internet location to view cameras and recorded footage as well as to operate the pan, tilt and zoom function of PTZ dome cameras. Additionally, this DVR supports Bosch's exclusive Bilinx technology, allowing an operator to send communication signals including PTZ control over a single Bilinx cable to wired cameras from an off site location.

In addition to a 120GB main storage drive, this DVR features a built-in CD burner to record short-term footage for quick retrieval and transfer. The DVR can be programmed to begin recording based on a number of factors, including on a date and time basis, at an alarm event or when motion is detected. This saves hard drive resources but most importantly saves valuable time when trying to locate a particular video footage among many hours of recorded material.

Accepts 6 Analog Cameras with Manual or Sequential Switching
The unit accepts up to 6 analog cameras and offers a high recording speed of 15 IPS per channel. Cameras can be viewed on two spot monitors in full screen or in sequential mode. Switching between cameras can be done manually or by programming the DVR to auto switch with sequential dwell times for each camera.
Fast and Convenient Access to Images from Anywhere
Bosch designed this unit so that an operator has quick access to cameras for viewing and control from any location. To this end, they equipped this unit with an Ethernet connection and various remote control ports. These allow an operator to connect to any Internet PC and instantly bring up any or all cameras for viewing and control. Each camera display includes a number of icons offering important information about that camera, including, time and date, location, camera name and names of devices attached to it such as sensors and motion detectors.
Remote PTZ Control with Billinx Support
An operator can use an Internet browser to control the pan, tilt and zoom functions of an analog PTZ camera equipped with a remote control protocol. Additionally, this unit supports Bosch's exclusive Billinx technology, which uses the standard video cable to transmit bi-directional communication signals. This allows a client to check status, change settings, control pan, tilt and zoom, and even update firmware from virtually anywhere along the video cable.
Built-In CD Burner
In addition to the main 120GB storage hard drive, this unit features a built-in CD burner to store short-term event footage for quick retrieval and transfer. A number of USB ports are available for further storage expansion.
Quick and Easy Search and Playback Functions
This unit provides powerful search and playback operation with navigation functions offered in a tree structure. An operator can do a search based on various factors, including camera number, recording date and time or alarm and motion detection events.
Programmable Recording with Image Transfer
Recording can be programmed to begin based on a particular date and time, alarm events, or when triggered by an external sensor. Recorded footage or messages can be automatically directed to a designated alarm monitoring location. This saves valuable time and hard drive resources when trying to locate a crucial piece of video among hours of recorded material.
Scalable GUI
Multiple DiBos units can be daisy chained, allowing a security manager to view live and recorded images from any camera on a single PC or DiBos system from a remote location.
Password Protection and Image Authentication
Access to the DVR is controlled by a sophisticated password system. Additionally, each video frame is protected from altercation to preserve its authenticity.
