The Sony EVID70/PAC3 is a remote controlled Pan/Tilt/Zoom communication video camera kit that is compact, easy to use, and is ceiling mountable. Incorporating an 18x optical zoom lens, the camera allows a user to zoom in on a small or distant object with exceptional clarity.
This kit combines the EVI-D70 and the Telemetrics CP-ITV4-S Desktop Control Panel. The joystick design allows precise control over simultaneous pan/tilt/zoom functions. This package also comes with a control cable to connect the two products.
High Speed and Wide Range Pan and Tilt
The camera offers a wide pan angle of 170° from center. And it has a maximum pan speed of 100° per second. The unit will tilt upward a full 90° and downward 30°. Its tilt speed is a maximum of 90° per second.
18x Optical Zoom
The EVI-D70 offers a high quality 18x zoom lens that, at its widest, offers 48 degrees of horizontal view, and at full zoom 2.7 degrees. The camera has a digital zoom feature that adds 12x power to the optical lens zoom.
Six Pre-Set Positions
The user may store up to 6 predetermined positions of the pan/tilt/zoom for instant recall. The presets also include picture parameters like white balance and exposure features.
Alarm Feature
These communication cameras provide an alarm function that can detect changes within the user-designated area of an image. When a change is noticed, the camera outputs and alarm trigger signal to external equipment via the VISCA protocol.
Control Protocols
The EVI-D70 camera can be remotely controlled via either RS-232C or RS-422. RS-422 offers control connections up to about 4000 feet. An RS-232C controller (a computer) can be up to about 150 feet from the camera.
Infrared Filter
The camera, in extreme low-light conditions, is sensitive to infrared beams not visible to the human eye. The infrared-cut filter makes the camera effective in both day and night conditions.
