Will this help the audio when I record a YouTube interview I was in? Currently, the audio sounds terribly tinny.
Hello Carol, there are a lot of factors to consider while recording interviews to and from the internet. However, I would say that in general this microphone is an incredible upgrade when used as the source audio for Skype, Youtube, or any streaming services.

question
Is the Rode Podcaster Mac compatible (without any additional hardware or software)?
Yes it is. I plugged it into my early 2008 Mac Pro. I forget if I had to go into Preferences and select the mic as my input or if it did it for me. I do recommend you use a good set of headphones/earbuds to make sure you hear how you sound on the mic. Just to make sure everything is good. BTW I recommend BSW's Pop Filter: BSW REPOP - Pop Filter for RE20 Microphone. It's super small, and stylish while very functional. IDK if B&H carries them. If they do snag it up. If not, go to bswusa site and run a search for the RE20 Pop Filter
