Canon Console is a software package that allows users to control their XL-H1 camcorder settings via a desktop or notebook PC. This software provides additional features including functions for recording HDV footage directly to the computer's hard drive. This can greatly decrease the time between shooting and editing, further increasing work flow efficiency.

Storage Options
The software will capture standard definition DV as AVI or MXF files for added flexibility. The software can also capture HDV directly to mpeg-2. This can dramatically decrease the amount of time between shooting and editing by eliminating the time consuming process of digitizing tapes!
