The MS1224 from LA Audio is a rack mountable unity gain active microphone splitter, intended for applications where one set of microphones needs to send a signal to multiple feeds without the degradation commonly found with passive splitting options. Each of the 12 channels has four transformer-isolated outputs and a parallel link output. The link output is handy for sending a signal to the front-of-house, which needs a direct, non-active feed. This can also be used to daisy-chain other channels.
Each of the 12 inputs has a switchable pad so you can connect mic or line level sources. Phantom power is available for powering condenser microphones. The I/O connectors are configurable, allowing you to choose whether your link connectors are on the front or the rear panel, whether the inputs are on the front or the rear, etc. The separate rack mountable power supply unit offers channel monitoring via headphones. You can even monitor a mic signal without a vocalist being present.
