The Tiffen 49mm Nude/FX 2 Filter is a skin tone enhancing filter that provides gentle warmth to the image and helps to smooth out blemishes. This filter works by infusing the background areas of the scene with the filter tone and blending the skin tones with additional warmth. The 2 density provides more skin tone enhancement than the 1, but less than the 3.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.

Good way to add vintage cast to photos

This filter has a slight brown cast. I use it by first taking a custom white balance, then screwing on this filter. Looks like vintage color film. Good quality and minimal, if any, distortions from the use of this filter. There are three strengths currently available. If the effect is too strong you can use the Nude/FX 1.
