Raynox HDP-9000EX Reviews
All tele's vignette
Having majored in optical engineering, all telephotos will vignette when the camera is set to wide angle. Just think about the physics of putting a lens in front of the wide angle camera lens, it is wide angle, and sees the inside cylinder of the telephoto lens. This is normal. I've had cheap tele's that make the image 2x larger, but when I look at the image, there is no additional detail when compared to a digital zoom with my software. You need a high quality telephoto lens for the higher resolution so show, otherwise you simply scale up the image with no additional image, and it looks like DVD vs HD. For wide angle attachments, it's a little easier to not lose resolution since you are throwing away power. However, I have seen too many wide angle adapters have horrific barrel distortion. You get what you pay for.
Very pleased
We added this lens to our existing camera we use to video our church services. No light loss with it. Does the job perfectly.
