JBL Control 1 Pro Overview

The white JBL Control 1 Pro are a pair of compact professional loudspeakers offering high quality at an affordable price for professional or residential applications. The rugged enclosure houses a 5" woofer and a 0.75" dome tweeter, which combine to provide a frequency response of 100 Hz to 18 kHz. When powered by a 150W (continuous) amplifier, the speaker provides a maximum SPL of 114 dB. Additionally, the cabinet is magnetically shielded for safe use near video monitors.

The rear of the cabinet features standard spring-loaded speaker terminals for wide compatibility. SonicGuard protection circuitry protects the network and transducers to keep your speakers running smoothly. A ball-and-socket mounting bracket is included for easy installation and positioning flexibility.

Are these speakers appropriate for a receiver, Muti-CD player and turntable in a family room setting? Is the amplification good for this?

Check the impedance, these are 4 Ohm speakers. If you aren't well versed in amps and speakers then you may have difficulty determining if the speakers are compatible. You didn't provide enough information to answer your question. These are JBL Pro speakers, not consumer grade.

Will 12 AWG speaker wire fit into the rear inputs? I have 60' run to the receiver hence the thicker gauge.

The JBL Control 1 Pro are packaged in a box from the manufacturer with a length of 12.8 , width of 11.8 and height of 7.7 . The weight of this box is 11.6 lbs. We will ship this to our customers inside a B&H box with packing material. Unfortunately the size of this box is determined by our shipping department, and will vary at their discretion.
