The PowerCore Express from tc electronics is a full size PCIe card that adds DSP to native DAW systems. It is functionally the same as the to PowerCore PCI mkII, except for the form factor. It comes bundled with fourteen state-of-the-art processing plug-ins that access four, 150MHz DSP chips, thereby allowing the host system to function with greater efficiency and flexibility.
The PowerCore Express is designed for professional audio tasks, and with the included and optional plug-ins, it can be optimized for a variety of applications such as mastering, vocal processing and sound design. Integrating perfectly with most VST and Audio Units based systems, the user is able to choose their favorite application for music or film editing.
Additional plug-ins are constantly being supplied, most notably exact ports of undiluted algorithms from TC electronics' System 6000. Third party developers are also adding plug-ins which provides the user with the choice of the best tools and instruments.
