Sling Slingbox AV Overview

The Slingbox AV Internet TV Broadcaster from Sling Media allows you to watch live television streamed from your home cable or satellite connection via the Internet on a laptop or cellular telephone. Connecting to your television and broadband Internet connection, the Slingbox AV streams live television over the web and allows you to view it anywhere with Internet access.

The Slingbox AV is designed to be used in conjunction with a TV, DVR, satellite receiver or digital cable box. It allows you to control your home device with an on-screen remote that features the full functionality of the one you have at home. It even supports 16:9 widescreen broadcasts.
SlingStream Technology
The Slingbox AV feature SlingStream technology. This innovative compression dynamically adjusts video quality to best suit the type of material you are watching. This lets you watch video at optimal quality when streaming over the Internet.
Ease of Use
The Slingbox AV features an automatic device discovery wizard to help you easily set the system up. It was designed with ease of use in mind, so you won't have to be a computer genius to get it working.
PDA and Smartphone Compatible
In addition to streaming to a laptop or desktop computer, the Slingbox AV can be used with SlinPlayer Mobile software to play video directly on your Windows Mobile PDA or Smartphone. A free trial version of this software is available from Sling Media's web site with additional registration costs for the full version.
