Sigma CR-21 Overview

The Sigma CR-21 Cable Release Switch is a wired remote for the Sigma SD14, SD15 and SD1 Merrill Digital cameras. Use of this cable release reduces the risk of camera-shake, which can result in blurred images, and is especially useful when using the camera with the Mirror up and when using super-telephoto lenses.

Allows you to fire your shutter from the end of a wire! Even has button lock for T function!!

Works Fine with SD15 too

Easy to use: just pry off the release jack cover on the SD15 and plug it in. Be careful to keep the SD15 jack cover safe, because it is easily lost. This wired release lets me be behind the camera. If I understand correctly, the infrared remote release requires you to be in front of the camera, so I was not interested in it. I am giving it only 4 stars instead of 5 because I find it a little too easy to latch the button in the pressed position. You would use the latch feature when shooting bulb, because you have to keep the button pressed in to keep the shutter open.

question

Can this be used with all the SD Merril Cameras and could it be hooked up to fire several at the same time?
Asked by: Anonymous
Sigma lists this remote to work with the current SD Merrill DSLR's like the SD15 and SD1. Additionally, this remote can only fire one camera at a time.
