I bought this as a retrofit for my convenience light on the tip of a gooseneck. I don't know if Littlite manufactured the light I own because it's just black, unbranded and came bundled with other pro equipment. However, I suspect Littlite did because all of the included parts of this kit fit what I have so perfectly. I have no complaints. I think the fins of the heatsink could be larger to keep the hood cooler, but it sure beats not having fins at all because halogen lights operate so very hot (the price for very bight, which applies to all halogen lights).

The bulb that is included with the Littlite HIC High-Intensity Conversion Hood Set is the Littlite Q5 - 5 Watt, 380mA Tungsten Halogen Bulb for Hi-Hood - 12-Volt (B&H # LIQ5) which is a bayonet style bulb that is similar to the Ushio 1000832 - JC12V-5W/BA9S Bayonet Base Single Ended Halogen Light Bulb. The Q5 bulb is designed for use with the Littlite X and High Hood.
