The TecNec ABOOM-MB50 ENG Duplex Cable is a combination microphone and headphone monitor cable for connection between DV cameras and boom microphones. The cable features an XLR female to XLR male microphone connection, and a 1/8" (3.5mm) phone female to male connection for headphone monitoring from the DV camera. The cable measures a total of 50-feet in length.

Not bad except for the phone jack

Overall these are not bad cables except for one major flaw. The headphone jack. The jack they used has a plastic barrel so it very easily snaps right off where it mounts to the box. We have a ton of these and almost every single one has broken there. A quick and cheap upgrade to a metal barrel would make this an ok cable.

What is more frustrating than paying out for the nose for a simple cable? The answer would be having it break on you after using it for two days. I treated it carefully and was using it indoors on a sound stage shoot and literally the headphone jack completely broke / dislodged from the unit. I'm just glad this thing broke within the measly 90 day warranty as I will be returning it for a full refund.
