Comtek PR-216 Reviews

Simple and solid.

It's a very simple to use piece of sound kit that I can hand off to the crew and know they'll be able to use it without instructions. It's an on/off switch and a volume knob. I use iPower 800mAh Li-ion batteries which have a smaller profile that fit the battery casing, and they last all day.

DIDNT ASK FOR ANY SPECS JUST BOXED ONE UP AND SENT WRONG

Is it possible to monitor audio with the Comtek PR-216 straight out of camera? I'm running two lavs into a Sony FX6 and hoping to output a audio monitor option for someone not next to camera.
Asked by: Carl
If you plug in the output from cam monitor into the transmitter, then you can listen with the PR-216.

Additionally, is it possible to run audio out of the FX6 to the Comtek without using the headphone output? Ideally the shooter would use that to monitor audio levels on the spot, while the producer listens in from afar. Could I run audio out from SDI to the Comtek?
Asked by: Carl
The Comtek PR 216 is a receiver. You need to go into a compatible Comtek transmitter to be able to do that, like the M-216 and that does not take SDI input.
