The less glass between your negative and the paper is always a plus. The Beseler carriers are well made and do a simple task perfectly, regardless of film format. I wouldn't operate any Beseler enlarger without one, period. Note they will corrode if not stored properly. If you put your gear in a basement or storage locker, take careful precautions!

Well made matte black anodized aluminum glass less carrier--perfect for M'ladies' fine li'l negs... Holds them flat without the worry of dust, fingerprints, scratches or Newton Rings of glass carriers. Best way to go!
