Available exclusively through B&H, this BoomMate Boompole Holder and Grip Head Kit eliminates the guesswork involved with selecting a lighting stand grip head to accessorize the BoomMate boom pole holder. The BoomMate Boompole Holder is a unique device that enables hands-free microphone boom operation by cradling the boompole in place while suspended and mounted on a lighting stand and grip head. This kit includes the BoomMate BoomPole Holder and a grip head for immediate results right out of the box.

  • BoomMate BPH Microphone Boom Pole Holder

The Boom Mate Boom Pole Holder allows hands free operation when working with boom poles. It attaches to standard grip heads which allow mounting to lighting stands. Multiple or single boom poles can be positioned and used without a boom operator.

  • Impact Grip Head for Lights and Accessories - 2.5" Diameter (Chrome)

The Impact Grip Head for Lights and Accessories - 2.5" Diameter (Chrome) mounts lights, light modifiers, scrims, flags, cutters, and other lighting accessories onto C-stands or butterfly frames.

When trying to get the perfect shot, you often have various lighting accessories such as flags, scrims and cutters set up around your subject. A grip head holds each in a precise position, making it a fairly common piece of equipment on most any set.

Wide compatibility with standard grip equipment; fits 5/8" baby-studs or stand top-studs

Boompole Holder and Grip Head Kit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential for a single operator shoot Completely lives up to expectation. Unlike similar devices this one is a bit longer and distributes the weight well along the boom pole. The grip head with this combo was budget priced but as good if not better than ones made by the usual suspects. This will be travelling with me on all my shoots. If you do your own sound I would consider this essential. Extremely impressed by this simple device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's amazing how practical this kit is. This holder is awesome. No question about it. The construction is solid and does exactly what you need while being super easy to set up. The only trick this has, though, is when you need to make an adjustment and you loosen the side holding the boompole holer to change the angle, the holder will twist and surprise you when the boompole is mounted on top, so be sure to have both hands free when adjusting. Or, just let the holder hang upside down so the pole is below the grip head handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with Rode 8-foot pole I like that this Boompole Holder can accommodate the width of the padded grip on the Rode boom pole. (Cheaper, smaller holders do not.) I used the grip head on an Impact C-stand and extended the pole 8' and it was sturdy. (Though of course you should put a sand bag on the base of the c-stand.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Actually just used it for the first time to shot an interview and I was the only one to film it so without this kit i would have not been able to do the shoot. I didn't have a c-stand with me but mounted it to a smaller light stand and it worked just fine.
