Could anyone kindly let me know if the 1/4" ...
Could anyone kindly let me know if the 1/4" 20-thread stud could be replaced by a 3/8" 16-thread stud? I know I can use an adapter sleeve, but my question is whether the stud itself could be replaced. TIA, Roy

I am curious about the 130 lb load capacity claimed for this ball head, though. The 1/4" stud sounds extremely unconvincing. Can it really support that kind of weight?! Forget about 130 lbs, I wouldn't even mount a 10 lb load on this ball head, if there is any off-axis weight, like I angled the camera or used a long lens and the weight was not on the axis of the tripod. I am really surprised that Arca even offers this ball head with a 1/4" stud.

Can I apply a kirk quick release clamp to this ballhead?
You are not able to interchange them however you can screw the Kirk QR adapter into the 1/4 -20 thread of the ball head.

Yes, the 1/4 -20 Screw on top of the ball head will fit into the bottom thread of the a7r II camera.

This Monoball Z1 doesnt have a quick release system, so you could attach a Really right Stuff B2 AS II quick release clamp directly to the head. You dont need to take anything off of the head.
