RODE MINI BOOMPOLE Reviews

Very Professional

Very solid material for this boom pole. Just the right length for me. Use it for field recordings, and documentary interviews. Anything longer than this, is mainly for stage work. Comes with custom carry bag, with shoulder strap. You can't ask for a more professional tool, and at a great price.

Prefect for interviews

I use this pole with my vidpro shotgun mic and it works like a charm. Perfect for interviews without using lavaliere mics.

question

will this have an internal cable? can it carry a blimp with ntg2
Asked by: Nachiketh
This boom pole does not have an internal cable. It comes with a 3/8 of an inch boom pole thread that will be able to support a shock mount or a blimp with that same thread. 3/8 of an inch is a standard size when dealing with shotgun style microphones.

question

Do the sections on it lock?
Asked by: Blaire B.
Yup. Super lightweight, pretty sturdy. The locking joints get a little stuck at times, but for the price, it works.

question

Will this boompole receive and conceal a long cord needed to connect mic to camera? Or do you have to find some other way to keep the cord out of the way?
Asked by: Anonymous
There is a port at the top and bottom of the pole just for this purpose. You may take the pieces off to help string your cable through. I ran my cable and then soldered connectors. your connectors may fit, but I do not recommend trying it.
