The Tacking Iron - Selector III from Seal /Bienfang is used when tacking a print into position on a substrate using the base of the shoe to melt heat-activated adhesives. Use of a tacking iron prevents the print from shifting position while in the dry mounting press.
- Pre-Set Temperature of 210°

D&K SE-2280 Reviews
D and K tacking iron
It works well, is a replacement for a previous one, would have liked an adjustable heat setting to make it useful for more projects
The only tacker to use
Fast heating, precise and easy to use for all your finishing projects. The right tool does the job right every time.
Must have
Great iron
Must have
I like the new one it is plug and play
doesn't get hot enough
this is a nice enough tacking iron, but it doesn't get hot enough. I had one with temperature control that I've used for many years. It finally died on me and I couldn't find a replacement, so decided to try this. I'm disappointed as it doesn't get hot enough to melt the filmoplast I use to mend rips on paper.
Just try to find one somewhere else!
O use this to tack my prints before sticking them in the dry mount press. Without this, the chances of the print moving and making a mess is 100%. With it, mounting prints is flawless!
Better Than Prior Versions
I feel this tacking iron is a definite improvement of the prior versions. It works well in mounting prints.
Not Happy
The Tacking Iron that I got does not get hot enough and does not have a dial that give me more heat than it can given it's design.
