question

what lenses are available, what lens for macro?
Asked by: Anonymous
A rangefinder like this one takes photos through the viewfinder on the left side of the body, rather than through the lens. This will introduce parallax errors that cause inaccurate framing and focusing at the close focusing distances. Leica has some specific macro lenses with googles for their rangefinders but they are not compatible with this camera. An SLR or a digital camera with live view are much better tools for macro photography.

question

can I use the Leica 28mm/2.8 zeiss 35mm/ 2.8with this camera?
Asked by: rafael v.
Yes, the Yes, the Leica 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M Asph. lens and the Zeiss 35mm f 2.8 ZM Biogon T Manual Focus Lens would both be compatible for use on the Voigtlander Bessa-R3M 35mm film camera.

question

It includes Lens?
Asked by: Fernando M.
No, it's the body only. But it pairs very well with the 40MM lens Voigtlander makes. It is a small, sharp, easy to focus lens with great bokeh. I have had this camera for almost a year now and love it. It is very solid and simple, with a large bright viewfinder and a reliable meter. It's a shame they won't be making more of them in the years to come.

question

I see that for the Bessa-R3M, the Voigtlander - M-Bayonet Adapter Ring for 28/90mm appears to be required for the 90mm lens. For the 28mm, is a separate viewfinder also required?Thank you,
Asked by: Anonymous
While you can use a lens without the appropriate viewfinder, for framing purposes, the viewfinder for your lens' focal length would be recommended for use with your lens. The Voigtlander Viewfinder with Brightlines for 28mm Lens, Metal, B&H # VOVF28B, would be recommended for your needs.

question

Is it safe to presume that the Bessa-R3M is compatible with Zeiss and Leica M lenses?All--with the proper viewfinder?Thank you
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes; The Voigtlander Bessa-R3M uses a standard M bayonet mount. Bayonet Leica M-type lens mount accepts all 39mm screw mount lenses (with the appropriate adapter) from Canon, Leica & Voigtlander, as well as M bayonet-type lenses from Leica, Minolta, Konica, and Zeiss. The camera has lines in the viewfinder for 40/90, 50, and 75mm lenses. While you can use a lens without the appropriate viewfinder, for framing purposes, the viewfinder for your lens' focal length would be recommended for use with your lens.
