Middle Atlantic LT-GN Reviews
Well made product, good design
I purchase this and three other Units off Amazon. The goal being to find one that works for a specific use case. These are my observations of the product. 1. USB connector is purpose bent to hold connection to USB port. Other product USB connections are square allowing light to move. It is a little harder to fit in but provides a more positive connection. When the USB connection is the mechanical base of the light, it is better to have a rigid connection. 2. Compared to other products the unit has more heft, the metal cable between the USB connector and light is 1/4, other products are 3/16 or 1/8. 3. The light housing is metal. Other units are plastic. 4. The switch has a positive detent, click, haptic feedback feel to fingers. The external switch can also be more easily located by feel alone. Other products have no switch, no feedback. 5. For the cost, the unit should be repairable. The light can be unscrewed from base, but the internal wires are so short, repairs will be hard as there is no slack. So if the LEDs last forever you're good.
Perfect lighting dispersal for mid-compact mixer
Was looking for a light for a 15 x 15" mixer board to make it easy to self-mix the band on stage while playing dark stages. This light is just perfect. It's just under 16" overall. The gooseneck length when bent allows the LED light bar to sit parallel to the board about 11.5" above the board surface - giving plenty of room to view /access the whole board. The gooseneck is sturdy and stays in place without any sagging. The light beam is wide and bright enough to fully light the entire board surface clearly without further adjustment - even in a completely dark room. And the easily located and actuated on/off Switch on the light bar is a huge plus. Don't think I could have found a better solution!
