Panasonic VDR-D310 Overview

The Panasonic VDR-D310 DVD Palmcorder MultiCam Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom records high-quality digital video and still images onto removable DVD-RAM DVD-R/W and DVD-R DL discs. With this camcorder, you can enjoy all the benefits of the DVD format - including disc navigation and editing made simple. Use the VDR-D310 to access your favorite recorded scenes instantly without searching, fast-forwarding, or rewinding.

The camera indexes the initial images of video scenes and displays them as thumbnails, making for fast and easy searching and previewing of material. It also features a lightning fast, 10-second start-up time, a 2.0 USB high-speed port and a streamlined design that does not require plastic disc covers for DVD-R and DVD-RAM discs.

DVD-R/W, DVD-R DL or DVD-RAM Recording
Allows you to record home movies directly to 8-cm DVD and play them back in your home DVD player. DVD provides direct access to data, making it easy to access your recordings. The disc formats provide exciting options and complete flexibility in how you record and play back your clips.
Leica Dicomar Lens
If you want to capture superior images you need to start with a superior lens. That's why the Panasonic VDR-D310 come equipped with a Leica Dicomar lens.
3.1 Megapixel Still Images
The VDR-D310 has a SD/SDHC card slot making it easy to transfer still images to your computer.
16:9 Recording
When you record to a DVD-RAM, you have the option of shooting in the 16:9 aspect ratio. The widescreen format gives your movies the true big-screen look.
Computer Monitor Playback
You can view your recorded images on a PC monitor simply by loading a disc into a PC equipped with a DVD-RAM drive and software compatible with 8 cm DVD-RAM.
Bare Disc Recording
No more disc cartridges and trays! Bare Disc Recording lets you pop a compatible DVD disc right out of the VDR-D210 and into the DVD player or computer to make your shooting and editing even faster.
Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS)
While a digital image stabilizer compensates for shaking by adjusting the picture frame by frame, an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) avoids the shaking before the image is captured. OIS uses a floating lens element that is moved relative to the rest of the lens, to maintain a balanced picture.
