    Fantasea Line Nano Focus reviews

LED Nano Focus Light is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Light, Fantastic Value This is the third light I've purchased. Great, lightweight, reliable, diffuse focus aiding light. I use it with a Nikon D-200 in a Subal case when I'm shooting macro. It is especially useful with my 105 mm Nikon VR lens. I find for anything other than macro, the light is not bright enough nor the pattern wide enough to provide enough illumination for focusing. For macro, the more narrow light beam allows better aiming when shooting at the 1:1 range. The greatest downside is that, if you forget which way to turn the light on or will flood it. As I said, the first two, I flooded. Battery life is surprisingly good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, with flaws This is a bright mini light for use as a focus light for diving. It has a circuit which shuts the light off briefly when a strobe flash is detected, so you dont get a hot spot in your photo. As far as I know its the only reasonably priced focus light with this feature,ie, so its the only game in town. The light is quite bright, bright enough for a clear water diver to use as a primary light. It has good battery life, over four hours with freshly charged NIMH batteries. Where it falls down is the on off switch. You turn it off by screwing the flashlight head in all the way.The light is prone to turning off unexpectedly. A single o-ring which is not replaceable is responsible to prevent leaks and maintain the integrity of the on off switch. At the very least, they should sell this with extra o-rings. My last light failed after two years of intermittent use, despite carefull attention to removing, cleaning and lubing the o-ring.Recommended with reservations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Macro Focus Light For the price, this is a great macro focus light--especially super macro. It lights the exact spot. You don't have to search all over for the critter your shooting, through the viewfinder. The light has no hot spots. It is definitely bright enough for macro use. For wide angle and small fish shots, it is not bright enough. I have used the very expensive Fisheye and Sola lights, but prefer this for my smaller macro work. This light has great value, portability, and dependability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the money! I purchased this to attach to the top of my DC1400 as a video light until I could afford a much bigger one. While the light wasn't as bright as the expensive large ones, it still did pretty well even when taking video in a dark wreck dive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from only usefull on short distance I am not happy with that pilot light. First of, it turns only off, if the strobe has a pre flash. Not very usefull under water. Than the strength of the light fades after a meter until you can't see it anymore. Not good enough for the auto focus of my camera. To be honest, I use it only as a backup light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent small size focus light Excellent size and quality focusing light. Would recommend to any photographer to this light, excellent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from LED Nano Light For some reason it was really hard for me to turn on and the mounting bracket was impossible for me to use on my underwater camera housing, which is why I bought it. The light was very bright but the bracket was not practical.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too expensive Produce is complete but for what you get it's too expensive: not enough light, tricky assembly, not enough value for the money
