Walkstool Comfort 65 XXL overview

  • 1Description

Walkstool is a unique company making an even more unique and extremely useful product. The Walkstool Comfort 65 XXL is born of fine Swedish engineering and provides a portable posterior platform - in other words, a seat for all occasions. Whereas a folding chair or stool is nothing new, this Walkstool's clever design makes it stand out from the rest. The two primary issues Walkstool's designers focused on were compact size and load strength and the final product reflects their careful engineering and dedication.

The primary benefit of the Walkstool is the prevention of back strain or fatigue while keeping a person elevated to a comfortable height. This is useful for sports, event, and press photographers who spend many hours on their feet, squatting or on their knees. It is also good for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts or simply anyone who needs a seat in a location where a comfortable chair may be hard to come by.

The Walkstool Comfort line features lightweight and ultra-portable stools with two height positions depending on whether the telescoping legs are extended or not. Transportation of these sub-two lbs stools is a breeze, as it collapses into a compact form that can be easily carried in a camera bag, backpack, or tool bag to be taken just about anywhere. The Comfort line improves on the Basic line with a larger seat, different size seat mesh material, and larger rubber feet to prevent the stool legs from getting stuck in the mud.

Will hold up to 550 lbs
When folded, it is not much larger than a small tripod

    Walkstool Comfort 65 XXL reviews

Comfort 65 XX-Large Folding Stool is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort 65 Walkstool Had mine for about a year now. Biggest use is for painting (landscapes, not walls) but also take it to live shows. Anypolace you have to walk around forb long enough that sitting down thoughts occupy your mind. 6'6, 280 pounds. Strong, very lightweight, super quick open/close. Carries in it's own shoulder bag and I can forget it's even there. Comfortable. I'm confident of its strength. Pricey but worth it. Flimsy stools offer no comfort or security to me. This is one of those products that is built right and delivers on its promises. Haven't tried it under the Volvo yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The patience Maker Spending lots of time in the field chasing wildlife or Surfers on the beach (sometimes they are one and the same), you really only have two options. Stand up or sit on your case, backpack, the ground basically whatever is around. The beauty of this stool is that it is light in weight yet good and sturdy. Sits high enough for you to be able to swing a long lens to where the action is or stand and move easily. The downfall of other chairs I have tried is they are heavy to cary to locations and tend to draw you into the chair making it a little slower to react. The bonus of this product is it is very light. Downfall for the male shooters; you must be aware of where you are dresses in the gentelmanly manner as the chance of squashing something can be high.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort 65 XX Large Folding Stool My husband took me to one of the largest Farm Shows, in Louisville, KY. I knew if we went he would tire easily and want to go quickly. So, a friend of ours had these, and I decided it was just what we needed. And, boy did it come in handy. Eating lunch there at the concessions stands, no place to sit. Not us, I just pulled out the walk stools and we could sit where ever we wanted and whenever we wanted. Thanks to the people at Walkstool, you made our trip to the farmshow wonderful! Sincerely, Lauriann Geiger

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right! Choosing the right size of the Walkstool collection is a bit like Goldilocks choosing the most comfortable bed. I first bought the 75 XXL Walkstool which, although I am 5'10tall was just a bit to high mainly due to my recent physical mobility issues and was very, very uncomfortable, cutting and pressing, due to the excess height not fitting my frame. So keep this in mind when evaluating the comfort of the stool. I then sent for the the 65 XX-Large. A perfect fit. It was amazing how much difference the difference in height made in terms of comfort and usability for me. Now this height stool is very, very comfortable. I am big and have balance issues so needed something reliable and something that feels safe. It is tall enough (about 24) for me not to need to go down too low and feels very secure. Once I settled in, it felt more comfortable than a regular chair. I recently used it to photograph low lying plants. I also use it in waiting rooms where the seating is to low for me. I feel this stool will serve me well as a versatile tool in my photographic activities and other everyday activities. BTW....I kept the taller Walkstool as an instrument stand for my Hang Drum to use while I am standing. Very hand to take along and move to various locations, light, easy to set up. I'm thinking that I might find uses for the smaller stools as well. This is a superior product. It is pricey compared to other similar products, but it is sturdier and made with high quality materials and is worth the price especially if it turns out to have a reasonable long usage life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great compact portable stool. This is my third Comfort Stool. I have 3 because I started with the shortest, 18 inch, moved up to the 22 inch, and now this one. The quality and usefulness on all three are great, I just took a time to find the height I wanted. These are very easy to carry around and are great during a typical 12-14 hour day on a film or TV set. One of the best features is that the manufacturer sells replacement parts for the entire stool! If any thing breaks or wears out you can get a replacement at a very reasonable price. The only problem if I walk away from stool while working I usually find someone else sitting on it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light & Sturdy As a wildlife photographer I'm sometimes required to sit for hours at a time waiting for the right moment. I needed a stool that was light, yet strong enough to support my 255#'s. This stool is amazing. It's fits in the monopod holder on my camera bag yet is sturdy and comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tool For Photographer Very comfortable chair! I'm 300 Lbs and it held me without a sound nor buckle. I have back problems so having this available to me all the time is wounderful. And it's light enough to take with you all the time. It is expensive! But for me it's well worth it. And if you want a comfortable, light chair that you can take with you all the time, and if you have a back or knee problem then this is the chair for you! And in NYC it draws a lot of attention..
