What would happen if you used colored gels on the speedlites inside the hilite? Anyone have time to try this out?
It will change the color of the backdrop. Just make sure that you distance your subject far from backdrop so that no light from subject hits backdrop. It use it all the time, it's a game changer for me.

You will want enough power to be 2 stops brighter than the light on your subject when using the Manfrotto HiLite Illuminated White Background (6 x 7') BH #MAHL67. You would want to use the barebulb of the AD200.

**Why** can't a continuous LED light (or 2, one on each side) be used with the Lastolite background? Aren't these designed for video use, also??
You could use a pair of higher powered COB LED like these SL200w https://bhpho.to/2N9fC6a. You will need to balance the power levels to your key light, you will want the lights in the background to be about 2 stops brighter than your key light.

What are the dimensions of this backdrop in it's case? I need something I can get on a commercial airline.
Folded up in it's carrying case, it's radius is 34-36in and its about 4inches deep. I also store a soft box and flooring in the bags so mine is about 6in deep.
