E-MU 1616M-PCI Overview

The 1616M-PCI from E-MU is a PCI based Digital Audio System offering powerful DSP effects, zero-latency monitoring and mastering-grade 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A converters.

The MicroDock M breakout box provides sixteen analog inputs and sixteen outputs, plus thirty-two channels of MIDI I/O. The two E-MU XTC Class-A, ultra-low noise microphone/line/Hi-Z preamps have switchable 48V phantom power and analog soft limiting circuit for clip protection.

Digital connectivity includes ADAT Lightpipe I/O (switchable to optical S/PDIF) and RCA coaxial S/PDIF I/O that can be switched to send and receive AES/EBU.

The 1616M-PCI ships with ASIO2 and stereo WDM drivers for Windows XP and 2000. The included Production Tools Software Bundle contains multiple programs that span the entire gamut of music production.
