JVC GZ-MG155 Overview

The GZ-MG155 Everio G Camcorder continues JVC's fine tradition of producing revolutionary camcorders. What makes the GZ-MG155 so special is its ability to record videos and pictures to an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) as well as to an SD or SDHC (High Capacity) memory card. This eliminates the need to purchase the recording medium, it is built right into the camera. The GZ-MG155's 30 GB drive can store up to 37.5 hours of video, and more than seven hours of DVD-quality video, in the MPEG-2 format, with 2-channel Dolby Digital audio that's just as amazing as the video.

The 1 megapixel CCD captures every detail of your videos and stills at up to 640 x 480 resolution. JVC's Megabrid engine deals with videos and stills in different ways, so they both look their best. Connect Everio to your computer by USB 2.0, S-video or AV outputs and make your own DVDs. A complete software suite is included.

1 Megapixel CCD
The 1 megapixel CCD provides stunning detail and clarity with 520 lines of video resolution. It also captures high-quality still images at 640 x 480 resolution.
30 GB Hard Disk
Everio records to SD(HC) memory cards, or to its built-in 30 GB hard disk that gives you up to 37.5 hours of recording time! Imagine, no more tapes or DVDs to buy!
MPEG-2 Recording
Your videos are recorded in MPEG-2, a high-resolution format that rivals DVD for quality.
Megabrid Engine
JVC's Megabrid engine attends to the separate processing needs of video and stills, offering no-compromise video quality for each.
Digital 3D NR
3D Noise Reduction is a frame-based technology that analyzes the entire picture and reduces noise by up to 30% in dark scenes.
16:9 Mode
Your movies will look even more like professional movies thanks to the widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. HDTVs can accommodate your videos without having to be cropped or zoomed. Your viewers will get the big picture, exactly as you intended them to be.
32x Optical Zoom/800x Digital Zoom
The 32x optical zoom gives you a great close-up look at your subjects. The digital 800x zoom pulls images in from even farther.
MPEG-2 Clips
Record short clips of video in MPEG-2 format. MPEG-2 combines small file size with high resolution so you can easily e-mail clips to friends and family.
2.7" Clear LCD Monitor
The LCD monitor swivels so you can see your shots at almost any angle. It's designed to cut glare in outdoor light.
Dock Connection
The Everio docking cradle allows for easy connection for viewing, charging and dubbing. Its all-in-one interface means there's no need to connect cables every time.
User-Friendly Interface
The user-friendly Graphical User Interface makes it easy to adjust settings helps you find your way around the videos and stills you've shot by displaying thumbnails of frames. Click a frame and you are transported to the corresponding segment of video.
Auto Flash
In dark environments, the flash fires automatically. It can also be used manually.
Program AE
It's easy to get the right settings for your video. Choose from Twilight, Fixed Shutter, Snow or Sports. For a more artistic look, try Spotlight, Strobe, Sepia, Black & White or Classic Film.
INFO Button
At the touch of the INFO Button, you can get on-screen information about remaining battery life, hard disk space or recording time in any mode.
Power-Linked Operation
Just open the viewfinder to turn the camcorder on. Close the viewfinder to turn it off.
Remote Control
The wireless remote control adds convenience to your recording and playback. You can watch your video the same way you would if it were on a DVD.
SDHC Slot
The SDHC memory card is a higher capacity version of the conventional SD Card, the SDHC cards have the capacity to store an astounding 32GB at higher speeds than the standard SD cards.
USB 2.0
The Universal Serial Bus connector is a staple of current computers. USB 2.0 provides high speed transfer of stills and videos directly from your camcorder to your PC.
PictBridge
PictBridge ensures ease of transfer for photo files. With a USB cable, you can print photos directly from your camcorder to a PictBridge-compatible printer, without the computer in between.
DPOF Support
Digital Print Order Format gives you control over how your shots are printed and presented. It also lets you order prints online easily.
