Axsys Technologies has been designing, creating, and delivering reliable and accurate optical and motion control solutions to the US government and high-performance commercial markets for nearly half a century. They specialize in developing sophisticated systems to meet the requirements of demanding applications such as airborne thermal targeting, missile tracking, space-borne surveillance, semiconductor micro-inspection, thermal weapons systems, nighttime surveillance cameras, and precise medical imagers. As the world continues to envision ever more advanced optical applications, Axsys will remain at the forefront of optical innovation.
Axsys' EOSS 500CZC thermal imager operates in the 3-5µm spectral region, utilizing an advanced cooled photo detector technology in a 320 x 256 InSb, 30µm pitch focal plane array. Cryogenically cooled detectors are more stable than their uncooled cousins, and offer extremely high performance levels.
Thermal imaging systems provide superior imaging performance over common light intensifying systems as it is a passive system that is not dependent upon illumination of any kind. Thermal sensors read heat fluctuations and signatures and convert them into high contrast images for viewing on-site or at a remote location.
The optical performance of this imager is outstanding. Long-range viewing and detection ranges are made possibly by a 100-500mm objective lens. The front element is protected with Axsys' proprietary diamond-like hard carbon coating which is engineered to endure the harsh conditions, while the interior elements utilize extremely efficient anti-reflection coatings for increased levels of light transmission. The entire system is fully enclosed in a watertight enclosure that is back-filled with dry nitrogen to ensure flawless performance during dynamic weather conditions.
A security system should be dependable and versatile, if it is to be effective. To achieve 24/7 flexibility Axsys has seamlessly integrated a visible (CCTV) camera with a 26x optical zoom and a 360° pan/tilt mount into the EOSS 500CZC system for day-time viewing and observation. An integrated joystick controller allows you to operate the system with push-button ease on-site or from a remote location with a computer. The EOSS 500CZC sets a new standard for mobile and long-range thermal imaging solutions by offering a wide array of surveillance and security features in a fully integrated system.
