FLIR's ThermoVision ThermoSight is a mission configurable thermal imaging monocular that switches from hand-held observation & surveillance to a weapon mounted scope in a flash. This shock-resistant, dual-purpose thermal imaging device is designed to deliver mission critical performance under actual battlefield conditions. Additionally, the ThermoSight can also be deployed as an electronic bore-sighting system for last minute in-theater windage and elevation correction. Originally, this system was designed for highly specialized elite military units that needed a state-of-the-art multi-purpose sighting and imaging system. In order to comply with the mission-critical requirements of these Special-Ops forces the ThermoSight is designed with a performance enhancing feature set that enables it to be used as a hand-held monocular with image storing and remote live feed capabilities, or as an integral component in a surgically precise weapon sighting system.

Thermal imagers see, detect and amplify heat at the molecular level to create high contrast and well detailed images. Because success can be determined by your ability to detect, recognize, and initiate a tactical response before your target becomes aware of your position, the ThermoSight features a stealthy matte black exterior, as well as a silent mode of operation. When the device is switched to silent, the monocular will remain audibly undetectable at distances greater than 33.0' (10m). You will remain undetected and invisible to human eyes and ears, yet you will gain the advantage of a clear line of sight through smoke, fog, steam, and total darkness. This ThermoSight features a 50mm objective lens for a greater range of detection and recognition.
