The PCR-800 from Edirol is a 61-key, velocity sensitive keyboard controller, that features fifty different assignable controllers. Eighteen velocity pads provide a perfect way for playing drums and triggering sampler phrases. The pads can operate as buttons or velocity pads, and LED indicators identify which of the two modes is selected.
A DJ style cross-fader allows for controlling two parameters at the same time, and can be used to control synthesizer filters, etc. Nine longer-throw sliders can control eight track-faders, in addition to a master fader, or function as organ drawbars.
With all connectors housed on a side panel, the rear panel of the keyboard is free of connectors, allowing for the placement of a computer display, ASCII keyboard, mouse and mouse pad, or laptop computer behind the keyboard.
