The EXR-46 OR from Roland is an affordable 61-key arranger keyboard that provides high-quality sound and a wealth of features in a sleek, compact housing. The sounds of the EXR-46 OR are based on full, uncompressed WAV files for a high degree of authenticity. A 64-voice polyphony adds to the sonic realism. In addition to the nearly 600 tones that are provided, the EXR-46 OR offers several background styles, drum sets, and effects to enhance your playing.
Three different play modes are offered with the EXR-46 OR. The main mode can be used for melodies or drumming, while the split and dual modes let you add a secondary sound to your playing. Three scale memories allow for oriental tunings and the ability to save tuning settings in one of the 200 available user memories. Five lock buttons filter settings from the user programs for more efficient use of your registrations.
Two 1/4" output jacks are provided for sending a stereo signal to a mixer, speakers, or recorder. Full MIDI capability is offered with standard MIDI I/Os that can be connected to other MIDI-capable instruments or your computer. GM, GM2, GS, and XG Lite song data is supported, so the keyboard can play back virtually any MIDI file. A USB connector supports MIDI transfer to a Mac or PC, as well as data transfer for backup. A 3.5" floppy drive is also included for data importing and management.
