Mackie SRM150 Overview

Looking for an ultracompact, versatile active speaker for musical performance or boardroom A/V? Then look no further than the Mackie SRM150 5" Compact Active PA System, a powerful, pint-sized power-house of a PA speaker that includes a 3-channel mixer and a mic stand integration system, great for small club/band PA systems, boardrooms, A/V presentations, classrooms, personal monitor for practice or performance, and PA system expansion.

The SRM150's mixer features two combo XLR-1/4" mic/line channels with switchable 48V phantom power, great for powering condenser microphones. Channel 1 can also accept Hi-Z for guitars and bass. A third stereo channel with RCA inputs accepts line-level sources, such a MP3 players, CDs, and other portable devices. All inputs include their own level control knobs. A master level control and 3-band EQ round out the mixer, allowing you to dial in your perfect sound. Additionally, the rear panel includes a main input and thru-output for connecting to FOH or additional speakers.

The tough, impact-resistant polypropylene enclosure ensure protection from on-the-road wear and tear. The bottom of the cabinet includes an inset, making it mountable on a standard mic stand. An additional inset is provided on the top of the unit, allowing you to deploy the included mic boom extender for mounting a mic above the speaker.

Built-In Mackie Mixer
At the very heart of the SRM150 is a Mackie mixer, with all the versatility and features you've come to expect. True 48V phantom power for powering condenser mics and powerful 3-band EQ for shaping your sound the way you want it. You can even send your output to FOH or more speakers with the thru output.
Plug In Anything
Channels 1 and 2 can be used for mic/line sources, thanks to the handy combo jack, which accepts either 1/4" TRS or XLR connections. Channel 1 also has an instrument switch, giving you all the benefits of a DI box built right in. Channel 3 offers RCA inputs so you can connect a smartphone, etc.
Professional Sound Quality
We've matched the SRM150's powerful 150W Class-D amplifier with an equally impressive 5.25" full-range (100 Hz to 17.5 kHz), weather-resistant neodymium driver. The SRM150 puts out a respectable 120 dB SPL at 1 meter.
Built Like a Tank
The SRM series is known for its professional sound quality and road-worthy design and the SRM150 continues that with premium components and a rugged molded cabinet designed to take years of abuse.
Jack of All Trades
The SRM150 is great for guitar and keyboard players or even vocalists who want full control of their monitor but still need to get their sound to a front-house mixer. Simply plug straight in, then connect the thru output to wherever it needs to go. With its instrument and mic inputs, the SRM150 is great for small practice spaces where only two inputs are needed, even hook up a music source to the RCA inputs to play along with your favorite tracks.

Mackie SRM150 Reviews

Loose on stand

Speaker is fine for intended purpose. Biggest concern is how wobbly it is on the mic stand when using the supplied adapter. It should be snug but wobbles easily. Furthermore, if someone wants to move the speaker and lifts on the monitor to do so, it will pull the entire speaker off the stand. There is no way to tighten a set screw down to secure the speaker to the stand. Seems like an obvious oversight.

Fit my need perfect.

Instead of large footprint speakers, bulky and clunky. These small footprint of these speakers and quality of the AUDIO was perfect. Looked great!
