The Arecont Vision AV2100MAI is an ultra compact 2 megapixel camera designed for high-end security applications requiring super high resolution monitoring over a network.
Utilizing AV's proprietary massively-parallel MegaVideo technology, this camera is capable of delivering cinema quality video with the sharpness and color accuracy normally associated with digital still cameras. Video is captured in 1600 x 1200 resolution at speeds up to 24 FPS, resulting in images 6 times the resolution of the best analog CCTV cameras.
The key advantage of having such high resolution is the ability to greatly magnify a picture without suffering image degradation common to standard resolution cameras. This allows the use of a single camera to monitor an area normally requiring multiple installed cameras.
