Buffalo HS-DH320GL Overview

The 320 GB LinkStation Live Shared Network Storage from Buffalo is a high-capacity drive with an interface that allows it to be connected via Gigabit Ethernet and with a rotation speed of 7200 rpm.

In addition to providing simple network storage, the drive can act as a DLNA-compliant media server and as a USB 2.0 print server. It can also serve as a network server for external USB 2.0 storage devices. You can even use the included backup software to schedule data backups to an attached USB 2.0 storage device or to another LinkStation Live on your network.

The drive is easily integrated into your network, making it easy to share files among users. You can even integrate it into your wireless network by plugging it into your wireless access point or router. The included Memeo AutoBackup software allows you to back up data from your network. These features make the drive an excellent solution for media streaming, data backup, or general storage in small networks.

320 GB Capacity
320 GB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 24 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 68 4.7 GB DVD Video discs or up to 80,000 MP3 files.
DLNA Media Streaming
The drive can act as a media server for DLNA certified devices. This allows you to stream music, video and pictures to any DLNA device. This allows you to store your digital media on the drive so that you can access it from both your computer and your media extender. It even supports seamless integration with iTunes 7.
USB Drive and Printer Sharing
The LinkStation features two USB 2.0 ports for external device connectivity. You can connect a USB mass storage device, such as a hard drive or flash drive, to expand its storage capabilities. The drive can also act as a print server for USB printers.
Backup Tools by Memeo
AutoBackup software by Memeo for Windows is included with the drive. This software allows you to backup data to the LinkStation from your PC. You can also use the LinkStation to backup data from connected USB drives. Memeo also features tools that allow you to mirror the data between two LinkStation Live drives, creating a dedicated backup for your critical data.
Gigabit Ethernet Interface
The standard Gigabit Ethernet interface allows users to access data and administrators to remotely administer the drive through a standard LAN connection, making it easy to add to your existing network infrastructure. The drive can be connected to a wireless network by connecting it to a wireless access point, router, or bridge.
Share Data
The Gigabit Ethernet interface allows you to easily integrate the drive into your network and share data without the need of purchasing an expensive server.
Compact Size
The drive's compact 2.4 x 8.5 x 6.3" footprint makes it ideal for users with limited desk space.
