The MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support from IOGEAR allows you to share a single keyboard, mouse, speakers and monitor between four computers. It installs easily, with clearly labeled ports to connect cables. The switch supports resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. This is a great solution for anyone who wants to share a single monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers between multiple computers.

4 Computers; 1 Desk
Web designers often have to test pages on PCs and Macintosh computers and video editors who use the Macintosh platform can still see the appeal of the gaming options available on Windows PCs. This KVM switch allows you to easily share a single monitor, keyboard, mouse, microphone and speakers between multiple computers, regardless of your reasons.
USB and VGA Support
The KVM Switch works with computers that feature standard PS/2 or USB connections for input devices and VGA for display output. VGA resolution of up to 2048 x 1536 is supported, making this a great solution even for large displays.
Hot-Key Switching
The switch allows you to change computers via pre-programmed hot-keys. This allows you to easily change from one computer to the other.
Cable Flexibility
The KVM switch can connect to up to four computers simultaneously. Two cables are built into the switch and two are detachable. This allows you to reduce cable clutter when using the switch with fewer than four computers.

    IOGEAR GCS634U reviews

MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch This MiniView is great. It works on my old 2000 Compaq with Win-Me and Xp. It also is working with my 2009 ACER with VISTA and my new 2010 Compaq with Widows 7-64. {Note: all three Computers are AMD} The best thing I like about The MiniView is at the end of the day when I shut down my Vista and the next day when I start up my Windows 7-64 it will automatically switch the monitor with out any help from me. The only bad things I had to say about The MiniView is that my speakers did not work because I had no power supply, so I used a USB power supply and it works great. And I wish that they would had a couple extra USB ports for my Ext. Hard Drives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works As Advertised Using this with a (MacBook Pro, PC Desktop (dual boot W7 & OSX), Mac Desktop, and a Q-See DVR). Hot Key switching between setups works as advertised. My Kensington Trackball Pro and the Keyboard will not control the Q-See Dvr once switched over, but that doesn't have anything to do with the KVM switch (at least I can still view the cameras. Mac users be sure to read the directions to switch the hot key for the Mac keyboard Ctrl key, then follow the normal directions for monitor switching. I also added some 6ft VGA and USB extension cables to keep my computers outside my studio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A++ AWEsome equipment I would buy again! How you use the product: I use it for my multiple desktops I want to network and simplify the uses for them, which this product is fantastic for! I use it to network my printer and fix clients computers which makes this a great tool for that. Things that are great about it: 4 connections is perfect for connecting 4 computers. I was able to use on of the cables to hook up my one monitor to the KVM, not needing to unhook any monitor VGA cables I was using from my other monitors. Really easy setup. The product is solid. Not cheaply made. It works magnificently! Good price and company. Things that aren't so great about it: I cannot think of any CONs for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch Flawless I ordered this as a replacement for an older KVM that did not support USB, but instead had the DIN connectors. This new switch works perfectly with the ThinkPad keyboard with build in TrackPoint (a small joystick type mouse in the keyboard so you can keep your hands on home row while typing and still use the mouse). I've got two laptops and two desktops connected. I particularly liked the ability to switch the keyboard and monitor while chosing to keep the audio with another computer so I can set up iTunes or the Sony Location Free TV player on an extended monitor then switch to a laptop to do my work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well without hassles Highly recommended & this one replaces an IO Gear 2 port KVM switch in place for years without problems. Using with 3 boxes (7 Pro, XP Pro & Ubuntu/Mint Linux) and no problems switching between all 3. I keep the 4th port open for testing/working with strays that need repairs & like the flexibility. It skips that open port when not hooked up which is really convenient. One added bonus discovered by accident was that when I need only one box the switch automatically senses that machine when booted & switches to it so I don't have to cycle thru all 4 ports like previous problems with other brand KVM's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid KVM I'm an IT professional and am fairly critical about making new purchases and the items operating correctly and as advertised, and this IoGear USB KVM certainly does both. I've used this KVM with 4 workstations (3 windows, 1 linux) for about a month and have had none of the problems you would expect to find on lesser and cheaper KVMs. Pros: No lock-ups, switches instantly after hotkey combination is entered, various hotkey combinations available, sits flat on the desk Cons: Two of the four cables KVM are built into the KVM unit; not a huge problem, but just a matter of preference if I later decide I need longer cables Suggested feature: A hotkey button on the unit itself; not something everybody might want, but it would be handy for some cases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Gear I have purchased KVM gear before, but nothing has ever worked, until I purchased the Iogear KVM switch. It is easy to set up and easy to use. I am using this product to switch between (4) computers in my video control room and I have to say that I wish I would have bought this switch the first time around. Just make sure you have a USB Keyboard and Mouse and this product will be the last KVM you will ever purchase. Also no software to download or install, your computer will automatically notice the switch and work from there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from From mediocre to bad I already reviewed this product before receiving an offer to do it again after a week. This unit is now worse; mice or other pointing devices lack power - behaviour is a little awry - like only one scroll wheel working on the PC mouse, while the Mighty Mouse scroll ball does not work - even though by itself the Mighty Mouse works! Boosting power with a hub only works for the mouse port, not the keyboard. The keyboard special key sequences to switch video and mouse while leaving audio on another machine's output does not work. Response to key switching commands is already getting worse; often I have to try several times to get it to switch at all. The unit has locked up, requiring a reset. You guessed it - you have to unplug the USB from the ALL the computers - what a pain. This early flakyness and lack of functionality for independent swithching of sound leads me to expect this thing will not work for long. I changed my mind - I would not recommend and regret the purchase.
