The WIDI-X8 from CME-Pro is a wireless MIDI transmitter/receiver interface that functions with other WIDI enabled products from CME-Pro. It provides full duplex, high-speed transmission of 16 MIDI channels - basically the equivalent of a single pair of MIDI I/O hardware ports.
The WIDI-X8 can also function as a plain USB MIDI interface, with the ability to select three operating modes. USB to Wireless, MIDI to Wireless and USB to MIDI. The unit provides error correction and a range of over 260 feet with clear line of sight. The interface is hot-swappable and requires no drivers to operate. Windows XP and Mac OS X will recognize the USB device and fully support MIDI data transfer.
