The VAIO WA Wireless Digital Music Streamer from Sony is a portable stereo that allows you to play digital music from your PC anywhere in your home. You can wirelessly stream music from your computer to your stereo with ease via 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. The stereo features speakers that are capable of 8W per channel when using AC power or 4W per channel on battery power. It also includes 128 MB of internal memory for music storage.
Software Compatibility
The player is compatible with many different digital music file formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, PCM and ATRAC3plus. It is not compatible with music that has DRM, such as that purchased from online music stores such as iTunes or Napster.
Wi-Fi Support
The player will work with your 802.11b/g wireless network, allowing you to easily install it without having to run any wires between your computer and the player.
Digital Output
In addition to the standard analog output, the player features optical digital audio output. This gives you optimal sound quality when connecting to your home stereo system.
Remote Control
The included remote control lets you control the playback of your music, allowing you to change or pause tracks without having to go back to the computer to do so.
