PYRO AV HD10DAC Multi-Rate 10-Bit HD/SD-SDI to Analog Video Encoder

The HD10DAC Multi-Rate 10-Bit HD/SD-SDI to Analog Video Encoder from ADS Technologies is a broadcast quality encoder designed to convert multi-rate HD/SD-SDI to HD component analog video. This unit also includes (2) reclocked multi-rate SDI outputs acting as a distribution amplifier and (3) BNC connectors for analog video output.

This unit accepts 10-bit SDI (SMPTE 292M and 259M-C) 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video in both NTSC and PAL video standards. It will automatically detect the resolution and format of the SDI stream and output full-bandwidth HD component or YPbPr, Betacam, SMPTE, RGB, Y/C, or composite video for SD-SDI input streams.

This unit uses a high-quality HD/SD video encoder with 16x oversampling for SD video and 4x oversampling for HD video. Its 10-bit DAC output supports HD resolutions up to 1920 x 1080P 24. Also included is a video reconstruction filter designed to ensure picture fidelity in demanding studio HD video applications in PAL or NTSC.

An LED light indicates the presence of a locked SDI signal. Automatic cable equalization for SMPTE 292M and 259M SDI provide multi-standard operation from 143 Mbs to 1.485 Gbs. Equalizer performance is optimized for 270 Mbs and 1.485 Gb/sec. with excellent return loss (>15dB). The encoder's deserializer converts 525 or 625 SDI (SMPTE 292M and 259M-C) with EDH (Error detection and handling), NRZI-to-NRZ decoding, and descrambling.
