Quality 3x Optical Zoom Lens
The Optio W30 includes a 3x optical zoom smc Pentax lens that covers a focal length equivalent to 38 to 114 mm for 35mm film, and features a 'folding' optical system so the lens never protrudes from the camera while zooming. The lens system includes three aspherical lens elements to effectively compensate for image distortions and aberrations, and the front element has a SP coating that prevents water drops from sticking to the lens. Furthermore, the Optio W30 has superb macro capability with the ability to focus as close as 0.4" (1cm) from a subject for stunning close-up photography.
Digital SR (Shake Reduction) Function
Using Digital SR reduces camera shakes and blurring of the subject when photographing still images. The sensitivity is adjusted automatically, to as high as ISO 3200, enabling photography with fast shutter speeds, and consequently less blur. Movie SR (Shake Reduction) is also included in the camera providing an electronic shake reduction function exclusively for capturing movies.

Auto-tracking AF
