The Mackie DS3232 is a 24-bit, 32-channel digital audio snake for use in live sound, FOH and monitor mixing applications. The DS3232 is a reliable and efficient means of providing access to 32 input channels on stage, when used with the Mackie TT System 32 digital sound reinforcement console. The interface provides 32 XLR analog inputs and 32 XLR analog returns.
The A/D and D/A conversion takes place in the interface and signal flow to and from the TT System 32 console is established with a single Cat-5 network cable. The Cat-5 cable is impervious to radio-frequency interference and can run as long as 300 feet without signal loss or degradation. The DS3232 basically does the job of analog sound reinforcement snakes without the noise and range limitations of analog.
