Kurzweil PC3X Overview

The PC3X from Kurzweil is an 88-key performance controller that also includes a huge array of sounds, a synthesis engine, all coupled with a comprehensive sequencer. Building on the success of the K Series, the PC3X includes Kurzweil's Triple Strike Grand Piano, KB3 Mode, along with basses, drums, guitars, synthesizers for every genre, and over two hundred fifty string section and orchestral programs.

Using custom designed chips, Kurzweil's V.A.S.T. architecture coupled with their VA-1 Virtual Analog Synthesizer delivers powerful sounds and features. The unlimited track sequencer with 1536 PPQ resolution and superior effects processing allows the controller to function as a total music production DAW workstation. A USB interface and an xD card port further enhance the functionality of the PC3X.

Dynamic V.A.S.T. architecture provides up to thirty-two layers per program
VA-1 Virtual Analog Synthesizer builds a powerful synthesis engine right into the system, with anti-aliasing oscillators combined with a larger set of V.A.S.T. filters and non-linear processors
Cascade Mode allows every layer in a program to be routed through the DSP of any other layer, in series or blended together, with up to thirty-two layers
Easy to navigate user interface includes a back-lit display with an Easy Audition feature
Up to sixteen insert effects, two available auxiliary sends and a global Master FX section
Effects can be chained together in series or distributed among the sixteen multi-timbral channels. Effects include distortion, compressors, phasers, choruses and reverbs
Unlimited track sequencer with 1536 PPQ resolution. Editing features include event editing, setting swing and controller scaling
Sixteen independent arpeggiators as well as pre-recorded beats and musical phrases
