Loop Noir: Paranormal Sound Design from Sony Creative Software is a library of dark and eerie soundscapes, recorded by Nigel Ayers inside England's infamous Bodmin Jail. The jail which was used for over 150 years, was notorious for its treatment of prisoners and public executions, leading to tales of various paranormal activities occurring there.
The sounds are industrial in texture, and subdued in a menacing sort of way. Billed as a "meditation on horror and dread", the library contains fifteen construction kits in ACIDized WAV format that can be used on any platform that loads WAV files. The kits can be utilized as-is, as song starters, or as a source of inspiration for something completely different.
The CD contains 262 (607MB) original, royalty-free loops.
