Use these for cymbals, ac. guitar, violin... rich sounding instruments. Freq response is terrific & very versatile w/ 2 pad settings, 2 rolloff settings, & 2 patterns. I love having the shockmount clips as well.

The e70 seems to me to be standout in affordably priced small condenser mics. Their omni capsule is superior to anything in that range as an option, delivering a more full sound compared to others in and above its price range. It is a fairly bright but well defined Small Diaphragm Condenser Mic. I have used it as a neck mic on an acoustic guitar (couple with a large diaphragm condenser), on the piano, as on overhead drum mic as well as close mic'ing the hi-hats. For the Price you get two capsules, and several options for pads and low end cut off. Besides being a little aggressive at times, there are many applications for this mic. I may be buying a second in the near future. Go for a stereo pair.

question

This mic does not change from Omni to Cardiod pattern at the flick of a switch. It has two different capsules that must be exchanged for this purpose. Did you get this wrong?
Asked by: Anonymous
The CAD Equitek E70 microphone features interchangeable capsules. Included are a cardioid and an omni patterned capsule.
