High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your HD displays or projectors, the RDR-GXD455 will do the job. It has a high-bandwidth processor capable of upconverting to 1080i through the HDMI output. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.
Progressive Scan
The RDR-GXD455 is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.
Built-in ASTC Tuner
The RDR-GXD455 offers a built-in ASTC Tuner so you record Digital TV direct to DVD with one touch.
Multi-Format Player
Don't worry about limited playback capabilities, the RDR-GXD455 can play DVD-Video, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, DVD-RAM, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-DA, MP3, and JPEG images.

The RDR-GXD455 offers 8 recording modes: HQ (1h), HSP (1.5h), SP (2h), LSP (2.5h), ESP (3h), LP (4h), EP (6h), SLP (8h). Also, the RDR-GX355 has the ability to record up to an amazing 14 hours with a DVD+R DL disc (SLP Mode).
DV (IEEE 1394) Input
Just connect your digital video camera to the RDR-GXD455's DV front-input terminal, and you're ready to record images onto a DVD recordable disc.
High-Performance Outputs
With playback specifications that meet the standards of professionals, the RDR-GXD455 features a component video output for high-resolution low-distortion video playback, and a coaxial digital audio output for high-quality audio playback.
