The Panasonic BBHCM511A network camera delivers high resolution video over a network. Working from a remote Internet location, you can access this camera to activate this camera's pan & tilt movements to scan an area while using its digital zoom to bring an object into close view.
Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG Video Streaming
Video can be captured in the MPEG-4 and JPEG formats simultaneously. This allows a user to view live video in the fast MPEG-4 format while recording is taking place in the higher resolution JPEG method. A user can also choose one over the other to suit a network requirement.
Remote Pan & Tilt and Digital Zoom
With the simple click of a mouse, a remote Internet user can activate the camera's motorized pan & tilt function to point the lens in a desired direction. A user can also scroll the mouse to digitally magnify an image up to 10 times.
SD Card Slot
Images can be recorded locally to an optional SD memory card up to 2GB in capacity. An SD card provides quick retrieval and transfer of critical event footage and can also be used to store images in the event of a network failure.
Note:
Audio not recorded to SD card
Analog Video Output
An analog video out port allows the camera to be used as a conventional analog camera for viewing on a regular TV and for recording to a VCR
or DVR. During analog operation, the camera auto switches from progressive to interlaced scanning to minimize motion video flicker.
Motion Detection with Email Notification
In the event of an alarm triggered by its internal motion detector or by external devices, this camera will automatically transfer images to an Email address or to a server via an FTP protocol. This ensures that you do not miss any important occurrences.
2-Way Voice Communication
By using an optional speaker in conjunction with this camera's built-in microphone, 2-way voice communication is possible between a person at the camera location and a PC operator over the network.
Multi Camera Viewing
A user over the network can access up to 12 cameras on a single Web browser. Cameras can be viewed 4 at a time in sets of 3 or all 12 cameras at once on a static screen. Full 2-way voice communication is possible for each camera when viewing up to 4 cameras at a time.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) Ready
In addition to a standard 12 VDC power input, this camera can be powered solely by its Ethernet cable when used with a PoE feeder. This allows the camera to be installed in an area inaccessible to a power outlet such as an elevator and also provides fail safe operation by keeping the camera running in the event of a power failure.
